Autofox celebrates 1st year on market
"We successfully established ourselves in the market and became a respected information resource for a number of companies. Out of approximately 30 messages a week, we moved to 50 messages. At the same time we have increased the proportion of our original reports, on which reporters of Autofox work, to 60%. Reporters of the two original editors have grown to four,” managing director and editor in chief Mark Balla assessed the past year.
Autofox has gained a number of readers from among Czech and foreign managers during the time. “Our great advantage of providing the news service in the Czech and English language simultaneously has been confirmed. Regarding the structure, the largest share is represented by automotive suppliers (40%) followed by car dealers (30%), financial companies (15%) and carmakers (10%),” Balla said.
The growing interest in information provided by Autofox is evident from the visit rate of our websites. In March 2009, Autofox.cz had 740 unique visitors and the number grew to 2,000 unique visitors in September 2009. “In February 2010 we have around 4,000 unique visitors, which is at the level of costs of professional journals,” Balla mentioned.
Autofox will start offering active advertising on the website Autofox.cz this month. “We have only satisfied a demand of advertisers. We waited until the traffic rises to a level that will be interesting to prospective advertisers,” Balla explained. On the occasion of the 1st anniversary, Autofox prepared a special offer for advertising with a discount of 50%. The offer can be used until the end of April 2010.
Autofox introduced a number of innovations in 2009. “We have extended the subject archive by several other items, we added the time archive for readers who could not follow the news for a few days (vacation, business trip), and we introduced the related reports as background to the current news. We are going to continue in the innovation and also to introduce new services outside the scope of news service in the coming months,” Balla outlined the future. Simultaneously, Autofox is working on expanding sources and enhancing news from the Slovak market.
