ESG: Tesa (Beiersdorf Group; manufacturer of adhesive tapes, other products for automotive industry, other industries with 5,200 employees in Germany, Italy, China, USA, Vietnam; more than 130 tapes for electric cars; sales of EUR 1.7 billion in 2023) started preparing with Hamburger Energienetze (formerly Gasnetz Hamburg) connection of plant in Hamburg-Hausbruch, Germany (500 employees) to hydrogen network HH-WIN (Hamburger Wassertsund-Industrie-Netz/Hamburg Hydrogen Industrial Network) with aim of manufacturing first adhesive tapes using green hydrogen in 2027, save around 6,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions caused by production each year, completely replace natural gas by 2030. Company to invest approximately EUR 300 million in decarbonization in coming years to achieve climate-neutral production by 2030 (2023: -38% compared to 2018), reduce indirect supply chain emissions by at least 20% (2023: -15%).
